Three diaries, entirely in Japanese, of a private in the 930th Manchurian Infantry Corps, Mataichi Oonishi. They include description of his participation in the battles Japan fought in China, his life back home in Japan, and his service in the Japanese army in 1941 and 1942 during World War 2.

Includes drawings of buildings and architecture around Tokyo, roads, waterways, and border lines for marking each residential district in the city. The map is approximately 20 1/2" x 28 1/3" and the cover is completely unattached from the map.

The Ephemera Collection contains material primarily acquired for teaching. It includes material in various formats, most of which have been previously published.
